DISCRIPTION
Avac Fowl Pox is an attenuated, lyophilized vaccine which is made from attenuated Fowl pox virus strain China (C) propagated in Chick Embryo Fibroblasts (CEF) that was derived from SFP embryos
COMPOSITION
Each dose contains at least 102TCID50 attenuated Fowl pox virus strain C and lyophilization stabilizers.
INDICATIONS
Avac Fowl Pox vaccine is recommended for vaccination of healthy chickens 6 weeks of age or older but at least 1 month prior to start laying. In addition, this vaccine is also recommended for re-vaccination of chickens aged 12 weeks after the first
ADMINISTRATIONS AND DOSAGE
- Reconstitution vaccine with the diluent of appropriated pack. Aseptically remove aluminum seal and rubber stopper from the vaccine vial and the diluent.
- Pour half of the diluent into the vial containing the freeze-dried virus. Replace the rubber stopper and shake the vaccine vial gently.
- Pour the partly dissolved vaccine into the diluent bottle to mix with rest of the diluent. This vaccine is ready for administration by the wing-web method.
- Hold individual bird and spread the underside of one wing outward.
- Insert the double needle applicator into the vaccine bottle, wetting both needles.
- During vaccination avoid hitting large blood vessels, bones, and the wing muscles with the double needle applicator. Do not inject in any other site except the exposed wing web.
Observation for vaccine “Takes”
Avac Fowl Pox will show “Takes” as evidence of immune response effectively. The takes are seen as some swellings at the site of inoculation at 4 days post-vaccination. The swelling increases during the next five days until a scab is formed.
Re-vaccinated birds will not show “takes”
PRECAUTIONS:
- Vaccinate healthy chickens or turkey only.
- Use only the sterile diluent supplied with the vaccine. Chill the diluent to 2- 40C before reconstitution of vaccine.
- Do not expose vaccine to either direct sunlight and extreme heat during vaccination.
- This product contains Gentamicin as a preservation
- Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
- Use all the content of vial at the first open.
- Burn all containers and unused vaccine according to the regulation.
STORAGE:
- Store at 20C- 80C, protected from direct sunlight.
